The 5.5 km long sandy beach is safe for walking day or night. Jacó is becoming the surfing capital of Costa Rica especially in the months of July through September. The surf is not very big but fairly consistent. Jacó is a town to satisfy the needs of all young and the more mature alike.
Next to the hotel you can find a small lagoon and river which abounds in wild life. Caymans and Turtles as well as Nutria and several species of waterfowl are local residents. For the birders, more than 50 species of birds can be identified by just sitting on your patio. Many species of Iguanas and white faced Squirrels.
